Launched in 2001 by Informatics India Limited, J-Gate is an electronic gateway to global e-journal literature. J-Gate provides seamless access to millions of journal articles. The J-Gate platform is fronted by a simple, intuitive, and easy-to-use interface, and also gives users complete control over search filters. By allowing users to access content from a wide variety of publishers on a single platform, J-Gate exponentially increases journal usage.

- NDL (National Digital Library of India):
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) has initiated the National Digital Library of India (NDL India) pilot project to develop a framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility.
- Rare Book Society of India:
The Rare Book Society of India is the first of its kind – it is a virtual space for rare book collectors and history buffs to read, discuss, rediscover and download lost books.
- The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute:
The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune, was founded on July 6, 1917 in the honor of the work of Ramakrishna Gopal Bhandarakar, the foremost pioneer of scientific Orientology in India. The institute has one of the largest collections of rare books and manuscripts spanning over 1,40,000 books and 28,000 manuscripts collected in a period of 90 years covering practically every aspect of Orientology. This collection covers several language and scripts such as Sanskrit, Prakrit, Indian regional languages, classical Asian and European languages. In addition, through the pursuits of its research projects in the Mahabharata and Prakrit Languages it has created invaluable reference archives.

DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. DOAJ is independent. All funding is via donations, 40% of which comes from sponsors and 60% from members and publisher members. All DOAJ services are free of charge including being indexed in DOAJ. All data is freely available. DOAJ operates an education and outreach program across the globe, focusing on improving the quality of applications submitted.

This is the Official Portal of the Government of India, designed, developed and hosted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), a premier ICT organization of the Government of India under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. The Central Archaeological Library was established in the year 1902.These library houses books and periodicals on various subjects namely History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Architecture, Art, Epigraphy & Numismatics, Indology, Literature, Geology, etc. The library also houses many rare books, plates, original drawings, etc. The books are classified according to the Dewelly Decimal System. The ASI maintains library in each Circle and branch to cater to its academic and technical requirements leading to research of primary nature.
Shodhganga stands for the reservoir of Indian intellectual output stored in a repository hosted and maintained by the INFLIBNET Centre. The UGC Notification (Minimum Standards & Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D Degree, Regulation, 2016) dated 5th May 2016 mandates submission of electronic version of theses and dissertations by the researchers in universities with an aim to facilitate open access to Indian theses and dissertations to the academic community world-wide. Online availability of electronic theses through centrally-maintained digital repositories, not only ensure easy access and archiving of Indian doctoral theses but will also help in raising the standard and quality of research.

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. Five core disciplines were identified, namely, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering and 235 courses in web/video format were developed in this phase.
